Before you sing “Auld Lang Syne” we’ve got one more 2014 book list for you! Our co-managing editor has put together a list of 35 debut authors aged 35 and over.
Not everyone gets a book deal in their twenties, and in acknowledgement of those who are an inspiration to us aspiring authors, the list is made up of writers who persevered and published in their thirties and beyond. Some names will be familiar to you this year (Scott Cheshire, Julia Fierro, John Darnielle), but you’re sure to make some discoveries to add to your shelf (Nell Zink, Jaime Joyce, Peter Pomerantsev).
